Community Learning Groups for team coaches: Open co-learning peer environment for discussion, case studies, and professional development with experienced practitioners. Community Learning Groups for Team Coaches An open co-learning peer environment Download Flyer Register Team (or group) work has been around for centuries. It is and has always been the pillar of any great society or community, leading either to its success or its downfall. In more recent times, the need for productive and harmonious teamwork within our organisations and systems has been acknowledged, leading to the birth of what is known today as the practice of ‘team coaching’. “The way in which a group of people come together and work together will always determine the quality of what they produce.” Tammy Turner Community Learning Groups. There are particular qualities that a systemic team/group coach requires to be able to do their job well. These include patience, understanding, compassion, strong organisational skills, the ability to express in their authority, the ability to listen and the knowing of when to respond. Further to these qualities, a systemic team/group coach needs to be well versed and up to date with the latest in coaching techniques, consulting, group dynamics, conflict resolution and facilitation…just to name a few. As a specialty field, systemic team coaching continues to evolve as more coaches are trained with the skills needed in supporting teams and groups to collaborate for positive outcomes in their organisations. In response to this, Turner International has established a community learning group for coaches to come together and share their expertise and experience, strengthening relationships and supporting each other to grow as practitioners and as people, ultimately benefitting the wider ecosystem. What is it? The Community Learning Group (CLG) is a peer forum, not a master class, supervision or a training program. Each session is an open co-learning peer environment which offers the space for discussion, expansion, and practice with your peers. It is specifically designed for team coaches who are passionate about their ongoing professional development. This unique hosted program is structured to provide an enriching and interactive experience that will empower team coaches with skills, knowledge, and connections. Each session will be facilitated by a Turner International faculty member. What are the benefits? Each member's benefits may vary depending on their experience level, their openness to sharing and commitment to the community learning on offer. Some benefits might be: Practical sharing of approaches, tools, selling and designing engagements Generating ideas and momentum Exposure to the diversity of team coaching engagements On-going embedding best practices There may also be a follow-on effect that the community decides to share what they've learned with their clients; through blogging or v-logging and/or research. You will be able to claim the hours spent as part of your 40 required ICF Credential Renewal hours and can be claimed as Resource Development hours, not core competencies as the COP does not have ICF CCE's associated with it. What will be covered? Each session promises to be enlightening and enriching, offering valuable insights into the world of team coaching i n a professionally guided and peer-supported learning environment. You will: Hone and expand your team coaching skills Broaden your understanding of models, tools, and frameworks Share your insights and expertise Enhance your ability to navigate Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) Discover the latest developments in Team Coaching Who can attend? Turner International’s coaches are working in the framework of the ICF and EMCC Code of Ethics, which can be consulted online at: ICF Code of Ethics EMCC Code of Ethics We include here the paragraphs concerning the confidentiality and the situations that might consider interruption of coaching. Confidentiality - the coach will: Maintain the level of confidentiality which is appropriate and is agreed at the start of the relationship. Disclose information only where explicitly agreed with the client and sponsor (where one exists), unless the coach/mentor believes that there is convincing evidence of serious danger to the client or others if the information is withheld. Interruption - the coach will: At all times operate within the limits of their own competence, recognise where that competence has the potential to be exceeded and where necessary refer the client either to a more experienced coach, or support the client in seeking the help of another professional, such as a counsellor, psychotherapist or business/financial advisor. - Coaching Supervision | Turner International
Coaching supervision for individual and team coaches: Reflective learning environment with qualified supervisors examining systemic aspects of your practice. Professional Coaching Supervision Download Flyer Register Interest Coaching Supervision. Professional Coaching Supervision For centuries, the power of reflection has restored well-being, illuminated fresh perspectives and provided clarity. Reflecting together in professional supervision supports the coach's capacity, the client and the wider system. 2023 EMCC Global Supervision Award The EMCC Global awards selection panel recognised Tammy for her strong contribution to the field of supervision as a practitioner, provider of training and researcher culminating in creating books, articles and webinars developing the field of supervision informed by evidence-based research. Tammy's work on supervision is rooted in extensive experience, a depth of knowledge and enquiry, with more than a dash of creativity. The panel described Tammy as a very wise person who approaches supervision by taking the necessary height to avoid falling into a reductive technicality. Something that I love and find incredible about the coaches that I work with is their intrinsic dedication to their practice, their clients, and their client's clients, all of which I get to see in supervision. I would like to thank every coach who has ever opened up when they were stuck, asked questions when they were unsure and trusted their supervisors to help them develop and grow; this is, to me, what supervision is for. Types of Supervision Professional individual coaching supervision Individual coaching supervision provides a supportive individualised co-created learning environment. This is a dedicated space for personal reflection, encouraging a depth of exploration that is possible with a one-to-one supervision relationship. Together supervisor and coach explore their work in a way which supports the coach, their clients and the wider system. The format and frequency will be contracted to suit your particular requirements. A choice of supervisors will be provided for you to choose from. To book a free consultation please find a time which best suits you here. Find out more Professional group coaching supervision Within a group context, supervision provides a supportive multi-person forum for on-going development where the coach can explore any personal, relational, professional, organisational and/or contextual issues coming from the coaching process and thus building their ability to self-assess and provide increased value to their clients. Additionally, participants can bring team coaching discussions to these groups, delving into the complexities of team dynamics and engagements. Groups give participants the opportunity to learn from others’ experiences as well as their own. Oftentimes coaches report feeling part of a wider coaching community as a result of reflecting with others. Group intakes happen regularly. Although the reflective space is co-created, the professional supervisor is purposefully of service to the practitioner(s) and their clients. What is significant is that the supervisor’s intention is to develop the practitioner’s competence, capability and capacity to become a reflective practitioner of their own work. (Turner, T., Lucas, M. and Whitaker, C., 2018) If you are a professional supervisor and are wanting supervision of your supervision, we can support you. Professional supervision of supervision Find out more Whether it’s individual or group supervision, some of the purposes of supervision include: Enjoying personal and professional support as a collective reflection on your work Receiving feedback from another perspective. Developing skills through the exchange of information, observation and practical experience review. Accelerating greater understanding and awareness through collaboration Discussing individual client issues and developing pro-active solutions. Learning new approaches, theories, models and techniques. Sharing and comparing experiences. Co-creating an environment within supervision that can inform the client system. Appreciating diversity and difference in coaching, with clients/coachees, their organisations and the wider context. Having time to observe and reflect as well as disclose and discover. Description What happened? Action Plan If it arose again, what would you do? Conclusion What else could you have done? The Reflective Cycle Feelings What were you thinking and feeling? Evaluation What was good and bad about the experience? Analysis What sense can you make of the situation? Reflective Practice Though there are many reasons people undertake coaching supervision, extending your coaching capability by developing your 'inner awareness' - ultimately increase your effectiveness, personal power and confidence. To prepare for the supervision and provide the best opportunity for you to develop this ‘inner awareness’ we ask that you keep a learning journal. The purpose of the journal is to reinforce your learning and develop a system by which to examine your work. If you have not done reflective practice previously, Gibbs[1] provides a simple reflective practice model to get you started. If needed, we can give further guidance on how to apply this model to your specific requirements. [1] Gibbs, G. (1988) Learning by Doing: A guide to teaching and learning methods. Further Education Unit, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford. Issues that might be taken to coaching supervision As you develop your reflective practice, areas where you want to improve and/or areas where you have improved will become apparent. If you are new to supervision, some of the areas you may like to explore in your practice include: Not feeling ‘good enough’ to effectively coach a successful or domineering client. Thinking you know the answer to a client’s problem and then being disappointed when they don’t follow your advice. Dealing with erratic client emotions and being unsure about whether to refer on or continue to coach. Feeling uncertain or doubting the impact of the interventions used in individual or team coaching assignments. Using the same techniques, models and/or approaches to all coaching assignments regardless of the client need, due to lack of confidence. Having the feeling that what’s happening to your client is also happening to you and/or other clients in your portfolio. Establishing trust. Confidentiality, ethics and boundary issues. Celebrating successes and what this means for you and your client. Delivering specific outcomes within organisational requirements. The impact of the system on the client/coachee and the coach. Negotiating expectations between the client/coachee and their sponsor or manager. Managing your own and your client/coachees’ emotions. What you're noticing in the parallel process of the supervision relationship. Establishing and reinforcing best coaching practices and application, including applying theories to diagnose, inform and identify intervention strategies and interventions. More experienced coaches find identifying and shifting parallel process, blind spots and/or transference in the coach/client context invaluable with regard to the ‘quality’ they bring to their clients. How does Supervision Work? Coaching supervision takes a systemic approach. Using a variety of methods, the coach (supervisee) reflects on their work prior to the session in order to provide context which will best serve their learning and the organisations in which they’re working. The supervisor surfaces and works closely with the supervisee as needed. The supervision approach provides you the opportunity to view alternatives looking through all ‘eyes’ of the situation to extend your own and, if in a group, others’ perspectives. Throughout the process you will be provided with reflective practice tools and ideas to strengthen your ability to consider yourself in your work within the overall system. Before you begin any supervision, we can discuss and agree upon a format that best supports your requirements. As a supervisee, you will need to prepare beforehand for the session and be open to sharing both your knowledge and wisdom, along with any areas for improvement.

- 9 Key Attributes | Turner International
9 Key Attributes: Turner International framework for team-based collaboration. Essential foundation for true evolution in business, industry, and organisations. Supporting organisations of the future using the 9 Key Attributes What is an organisation of the future? Organisations who consider people, the community, the environment as well as sustaining their commercial well-being are the organisations of the future. Naturally teams and team-based interactivity form the foundation of any future-focused organisation. 1. People focused The first and most important premise of any organisation. If it doesn’t support the ‘people’ both internally and externally, then what is it for? This can be said of every decision made within a company, regardless of its scale. A Universal Framework: The 9 Key Attributes Through our work and research, we've created the following principles for organisations of the future, not as a checklist, but what we consider standards. In an increasingly complex world, they are foundational. 2. Purpose led What is the greater purpose? Does it support the people and the wider communities it services? How far does it reach? What is the underlying why? Establishing purpose and what it means is a big part of any organisation of the future. 3. Stakeholder informed By going outside the team and building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, the team can better serve what is required with efficiency. By adopting a stakeholder-centric approach, teams produce key decisions and strategic outcomes aligned with their purpose. 4. Systemically impactful Every individual forms a key part of a bigger picture plan within the organisation. This plan cannot be achieved without quality interactions between people in teams. Conscious commitment to discussions, decisions, interactions with others and simply leading from who we are directly impacts people, teams, the organisation and beyond. 5. Cohesive in decision making and accountability Teams that work effectively together experience more unified and harmonious processes, which has its greater impact on a systemic level. Complication is always introduced. Using harmony as the start point rather than a final destination ensures that any deviation from this can be addressed with immediacy. 6. Networked through teams and shared responsibility Sharing ideas, cross-pollinating processes across teams and leveraging people’s unique contributions throughout the organisation cultivates better decisions, healthier workplaces, relational responsibility and sustainable growth. 7. Adaptive Adaptability opens us up to new understanding, awareness and potential. Being open to possibilities, curious about others’ perspectives, having the ability to shift our own and integrate this into everyday working life is vital for a cohesive and harmonious team environment. 8. Inclusive Diversity has become a social norm for many organisations. The truth is we are all equal no matter our gender, culture, age, skin colour, political consideration, sexual orientation or otherwise. An organisation of the future knows and practices true diversity as a natural expansion on this equality. 9. Evolutionary In order to evolve, organisations and their people must be open to learning and change. We understand the value of commitment as being fundamental to this process. Future-proof your organisation by implementing the 9 Key Attributes. Together, we can build a better future. Download the 9 Key Attributes

For planning purposes, you will have learned the team coaching processes and materials no later than session 5, and need to have the majority of the team coaching completed by your final assignment. Please use the program dates for your cohort to contract with your client about when to start and complete the team coaching. Preferred – team coaching with a co-coach on your or their practice team. Opportunities can be for you to pair up with someone from the course. 6 - 10 hours pre-work prior to program commencement, including reading, watching videos of David Clutterbuck and Tammy Turner coach a team throughout the entire coaching journey, and completing a team coach development plan. A final short answer assignment based on your reflective journal examining yourself as a team coach and at least one team coaching engagement where you applied the techniques, models and tools from the program. Through hands-on workshops and real-world case studies, you'll gain practical skills, tools and strategies that seamlessly blend into your current team interactions, helping you transition smoothly to a team coaching approach or extend what you’re already doing with teams. How is this program different from other team coaching courses? Led by an MCC and ACTC-credentialed faculty, this program is one of the few EMCC TCQA-accredited programs available in the Asia Pacific. This program deep dives into the PERILL Model of team functioning, providing a robust understanding of team dynamics. You'll explore an adaptive systemic approach tailored for today’s complex world, creating real value in your coaching practice. Additionally, you’ll enjoy 12 months of complimentary membership to both the CCMI library and the unlimited use of the PERILL Team Diagnostic diagnostic, providing invaluable resources for your continued professional development. Is the program accredited? Absolutely! Our training is accredited by both the EMCC and ICF, ensuring you receive a recognised qualification upon completion. The EMCC TCQA is integrated into the program, and once you finish all course requirements, you'll be recommended for both EIA and ITCA certifications (meaning you’ll become both an Accredited individual and team coach at the practitioner level, should you apply, if you’re new to EMCC).
